The tele I wanted to add to my WannaWannaHaves

I know watching TV is considered to be a waste of time, but I tell ya, I love it!

Seeing that I live on my own with nobody to chatter with, I have it turned on quite a bit, just for the background noise and some distraction. As a matter of fact, it is on right now, as I am writing this, to have a quick peak every now and so often at a crossed-eyed guy who is doing stand-up comedy.

My TV has already paid its service, being moved around by me across Europe over the years and only until recently is showing signs of being fed up with presenting me yet another program. A few months ago, in the middle of one of my favourite movies, it decided to just show me a black screen, kind enough to leave the sound on, that I must give it, but no more movie for that night. And no matter what I did, turning it on and off, touching its buttons, completely disconnect it and leaving it off for a while, the screen just remained black.

A few days after our fall out, I decided to give it another try and by god, it was working again as normal, as if nothing had ever happened, and it kept on working for a few more weeks without any problems.

But, as you might have guessed… it did not end there… again it started failing, this time more frequently but after pressing a certain button, turning off and then turning it back on, it would continue working again. A relief and big pain at the same time, especially if it would give up only just after me having returned to the cou

So a few weeks ago I have started thinking about trying to replace it, even though I am not in the position right now to just go out and buy me a new one. Looking at the new TV’s in the local shops, you know, the widescreen ones, I started imagining just how nice it would be to see complete movies and programs, not just the middle part. Because that is another thing about my old TV, with new widescreen broadcasting, it only shows the middle part of the screen, cutting off left and right sides.

Kind of annoying when something interesting seems to have happened, but did not show just because my TV does not adapt that well to widescreen broadcasting…

When making my WannaWannaHave section on this blog, I really thought about putting a widescreen TV on there, but now I am too late…

Just got a call from my best friend because a friend of a friend of hers is going to leave to another country and is giving away all the stuff he can´t take with him.

Yep … that is right…. His 29″ almost brandnew widescreen is coming home to mommy! Needless to say I am completely thrilled and very grateful, what a way to finish a great weekend
