Becoming a stat junkie

Apart from the 30-day writing challenge I should also commit myself to another challenge; not looking at my stats for 30 days. I am getting completely obsessed about them… the number of visitors, the number of people in my rss feed, the genuine site rank (which actually went up a few% in only 4 days!), checking to see if I already have an alexa ranking, reading up all about google page rank, …

Checking this, checking that, and driving myself completely mad, and the stupidest thing of all is that I started this blog for Myself, not to keep track what others are thinking of me, but to actually keep track of my achievements.

I must say, ever since I have started with this blog, I have come across some very interesting blogs others are writing, not just about making money online, working at home and all that, but I have come across a few blogs that are very similar to my way of thinking, which makes me feel I am not alone… it makes me feel like somewhere deep down, I might be on the right track.
Just wondering here, how many times should I check my stats, if at all….?
