Challenging Yourself, Do You Do It?
With a lot going on in my life and a lot of changes to be made, I am always looking for ways to improve, make things faster, you could even say easier, but certainly better. Since I started working online, I believe that in the process of becoming a better person as a whole, there were also some changes that I am not too happy with.
For example, when I was still working a regular job, I saw way more people, but I also moved a lot more *grin* and I am sure you can guess what consequences it can have to sit behind a computer all day long…
So a few months ago, basically when starting this blog, I decided for myself there were a few things I should especially work on, apart from making a living online, I was also set on building a more steady and secure future for myself and my loved ones, and create a more fullfilling life.
Now, again, working on your own certainly is not made for anybody, it takes a lot of energy and self control to stay on track and I have known my periods off-track every now and again.
The other day I received an email from a personal friend of mine, letting me know he had signed up for a personal 100 Day Challenge that goes through all the way to the last day of this year, and I felt is was atleast worth looking into.
I did hesitate a bit to sign up for it as well, since 100 days to challenge yourself at first seemed like a huge obstacle, but thinking about it, I have been trying to challenge myself in order to create a better position in life, but there are still areas that are lacking.
So, I actually did sign up and now I can´t wait till the 22nd of September, and the reason I did was actually one sentence that sounded so true to me and I have found in my past struggles that it is exactly what makes the difference between a good day and a bad day.
“Getting the most important thing of the day done as early as possible,
to make your day more productive overall”
Anyways, I am sharing the email here, to offer the opportunity to have a look at it as well and see if you find it worthwhile to change your life.
Yes, there is an affiliate link and no, I have not tried out just how well it works yet, since there is no way to actually share the results with you already.
All I can say is that I actually did sign up myself and that the challenge starts next week, lasting till the end of the year, which is when I will be able to share the results with you.
The 100 Day Challenge
We all began this year at GO, and all roads lead to a final rendezvous; the difference is what we’ve done en route. Goals set, actions taken, and results realized determine if you get to call this year a success or not.
September 22nd is an important date as it marks the 100 day countdown of 2008. With that in mind, I have put together a number of questions for you to consider as you progress toward the finish line and call this year a wrap:
1. What specific results have you achieved so far this year?
2. Are you healthier, wealthier, and wiser?
3. Are you winning, losing or just holding ground?
4. What results are you committed to achieve by the end of the year?
5. How have you grown and what have you learned this year?
6. Is there any unfinished business that needs to be tended to in your life?
7. Are you actively pursuing what’s most important on a daily basis?
8. What habits or behaviors do you need to change to ensure better results?
9. What is the key issue that inhibits your ability to perform at your best?
Every day the plot thickens, the cement hardens, and the mystery deepens. You must live to answer and honor these questions, because when it comes to the last 100 days of the year, every day and everything you do counts.
With that in mind, I wanted to share with you an exciting opportunity to finish the year strong—it’s called the 100 Day Finish Strong Challenge!
One thing we all have in common is that we all love a challenge. For some it could be a goal that puts you to the test, an obstacle that says you can’t beat me, a belief system that is begging for a breakthrough, or even a mountain that just dares you to climb it.
Whatever it is, you’re attitude should be BRING IT ON, as there’s nothing quite like a good old fashioned challenge to see what you’re made, to push the boundaries and tests your limits as it is ONLY when we overcome these trials that we get to reap the sweetest rewards.
Gary Ryan Blair, otherwise know as The Goals Guy has put together what I believe to be the most comprehensive approach to goal setting and performance enhancement.
The 100 Day Finish Strong Challenge is a structured 14-week performance improvement program where challengers compete against themselves to achieve a number of challenging goals and finish the year strong.
You and other competitors from around the world will be provided with a performance plan, a disciplined implementation process, daily measurement systems, and a very unique accountably tool along with specific tactics and strategies to attain your goals.
Free Special Report
Gary is offering a powerful special report for free which provides you with 15 Strategies That Guarantee Results. This report in my opinion is worth its weight in gold and I encourage you to get your copy right now.
So what are you waiting for? The clock is ticking and if you want to seriously improve your life and corresponding results, I encourage you to check out the 100 Day Finish Strong Challenge today as it will be one of the smartest decisions you’ll make all year.
I wish you a great home stretch during these last 100 days and encourage you to dream big dreams and take the necessary actions to make them reality.

Life in itself is a challenge.
I dig the idea of the 100 Day Challenge but for e I work the 365 day challenge and it is more about personal challenges than professional.
I have seen more growth in my self in the last few months than Ihave in the last few years. I hold few people responsible for that. First being my son and second is my future wife and third is some one that believed in me that helped me in a tremendous way that tuned a lot of my focus form me and on to what I could do for others.
Since then I have made large strides to the point that I have gone from arrogant film obsessed writer to arrogant film obsessed journalist/screen writer/script consultant.
My challenges are mostly personal but effect the professional every bit as much.

Hey Jim!
Always great to see you around here and you probably don´t know just how happy I am about all the changes you are going through, you rock man!
Congrats to you and your future wife! Last I heard you were referring to her as your gf, so that is wonderful news!
I decided to go ahead and challenge myself for the last period of this year, there is something to resolutions at the beginning of the week, month or year and I tend to slow down way to soon, and this did sound like a cool idea, setting a deadline for myself to reach some of my goals
Hey btw, you still owe me cookies!!! ROFL

Challenge is always a good thing to me. It motivates me to achieve them and feel great to do something that I was not expecting years ago.
Recently, I challenged myself to achieve a very big goal in one year on my 4oth birthday . I have been working very hard since then. I was criticized by few other business experts, telling me my plan will fail. It turns out that those were at least once failed and don’t want to see you success.
At then end, no one will ever care about your challenge. It’s you, who will care about it. So set it big and go for it!
Anyway, keep it up!

thanks for you words of encouragement as always, Terence, very much appreciated and yes, the only one who really cares about a personal challenge, is the one taking it. I am sure you will achieve what you set out to do, no matter how many people tell you it won´t be possible

How I´ve been? well LOL, I have cut way down on reading blogs and stretching my writer´s muscle big time on other projects, which is why postings are few and far between over here.
Good to see you back again

Hey there Mirjam,
This is Mirjam with Aloha from Hawaii.
Love your blog. I too love setting goals and enjoy working for myself.
I used to work for the Government, when I realized I simply needed to work for myself. You are correct, it is not for everyone, but it seems that you and I have taken the risk to step into a beautiful future.
Wishing you a fabulous and fantastic week.
