Getting more Backlinks
The other day I mentioned I had joined Qassia to see what the buzz is about, and after having a closer look at their program I thought I should share a few points.
The advantages they offer are several.
- You can get backlinks for submitting articles to their engine, without having to place a reciprocal link.
- You get credit for every intel that you submit, whether it being articles or screening feedback that they use to either submit or reject articles to their engine, this way making sure the content is of a certain level of quality.
- By adding adsense to the articles that get published, you will actually receive 100% of the revenue generated.
They use a credit system called “Qassia dollars” which at the moment only has an impact on the rankings of your intel submitted to their engine, the more credit you have, the higher your sites rank. But, it doesn´t end there, in time they will introduce auctions for front-page advertising, site-wide links and other ways to advertise, using your Qassia dollars to pay for it.
They might eventually add a Qassia dollar account-to-account transfer system wich would mean people are allowed to buy and sell their Qassia dollars, either for services or money, just like entrecard is doing at the moment.
For now I am not sure this is the best way to time manage if you are serious about your blog, but it sure looks like an interesting option which you atleast should have a look at.

If you are very serious about blogging and want to get more backlinks fast, I believe that a better way to achieve that goal is to sign up with Article Marketer. With their free account you can submit articles to 30 sites with only a few clicks. You are allowed to place to links to your site in the author bock, this way easily generating 60 backlinks with each submitted article.
You can also choose to upgrade you account, this way having your article automatically submitted to over 67,968 people on 1,340 article announcement forums/groups and published by over 2,906 web sites. Now that is what I would call the most effective promotion strategy for your business. You definately need to check out Article Marketer if you are fed up submitting articles manually.
I know there are different services to do the job for you, but after having spent hours doing my research, Article Marketer comes out as the winner both financially and on terms of reach.

With this you will be able to get more links and faster but what about the quality of the links that u get?

good question, the backlinks you get from them are probably a lot better than the one you just got from this blog.
Qassia is relatively new, at present a PR0 but an alexa rank of 44,717 and they are growing fast.
As for the backlinks you can get through Article Marketer, it depends on which of the different packages you use. If you go for the free account which distributes your article to 30 different sites, or go for a paid subscription with distribution to well over 4000 sites, the quality is obviously going to be different. However, I did some research into this subject by checking pagerank for randomly picked sites and they range between 0 and 8, many PR3 and PR4.
In the end it is a matter of deciding what you want to achieve. PageRank isn´t everything, but exposure and backlinks will also help you in searchengines other than google.

Mirjam, I think google has stopped giving credit to article links for some time now. Unless you make significant changes to every article (which is not possible when using an article submission service), you won’t get any “link love” back. I think web directories are better than article services as you are more in control.

in my comment above, i meant “google and the other important search engines”. Even yahoo and msn don’t credit article backliknks anymore.
