How to Make Over $1000 Per Month Per Website

So a few days ago I posted my story on how I got one website to earning over a $1000 per month, in only 7 months time. To me, achieving this success is absolutely wonderful, because now I know first hand that it is very well possible to do it and I am much more likely to repeat this success with other sites and of course continue growing that number one site at the same time.

While you might want to have a blueprint, I think you are much better off, learning the 8 keys to success and then apply them to anything in your life you want to be successful in. As a coindence, I found a video this morning linked to my facebook account, that really gave me some cool insights as to why I have been able to create my successful website. Watching this video really hit a sweetspot, because I could track it back to all the things I have done in the past that has lead me to building my $1000 plus website:

The 8 Key Things That Lead To Succes:

PASSION

I´m driven by my passion
Freeman Thomas (car designer, DaimlerChrysler)

WORK

It´s all hard work. Nothing comes easily. But I have a lot of fun.
Rupert Murdoch (big cheese CEO)

GOOD

To be successful put your nose down in something and get damn good at it.
Alex Garden (game developer)
There is no magic, it is practice, practice, practice

FOCUS

I think it all has to do with focusing yourself to one thing
Noman Jewison (filmmaker)

PUSH

Push yourself. Physically, mentally, you gotta push, push, push.
David Gallo (marine scientist)

Push through shyness and self-doubt
I always had self-doubts. I wasn´t good enough, wasn´t smart enough. I didn´t think I´d make it. Goldie Hawn (actress)

SERVE

It was a privilege to serve as a doctor.
Sherwin Nuland (professor of surgery, Yale)

Wannabee millionaires take note: It is not about YOU. Serve others something of value, because that is the way really get rich.

IDEAS

I had an idea – founding the first micro-computer software company
Bill Gates (software guy)

coming up with ideas you need to: listen, observe, be curious, ask questions, problem solve, make connections

PERSIST

Persistence is the number one reason for our success.
Joe Krause, co-founder, Excite

persist through failure, persist through CRAP (Criticism, Rejection, Assholes, Pressure)

So What Do Those 8 Things Have to Do With My Website Success?

Let´s see how those 8 concepts apply to the success I was able to achieve with my website (and no, I am not going to share the URL :P )

PASSION

The topic I choose for the website is something I am really passionate about. It totally interests me, I want to get a degree in the topic and I am totally diving in, trying to learn everything related to it. It is a topic I care about deeply.

WORK

It is a lot of hard work. I spend hours a day researching and finding good article topics to share with my readers and then I spend hours writing and improving my site. At the moment, I think, feel and breathe my site, and continuously try to come up with new and interesting material.

GOOD

I have been working online for years, practising and creating sites, learning about SEO, learning about how to research keywords, talking with people and trying to do everything in my power to keep practising.

FOCUS

I am totally focused when working on that site, in fact, it has become my main project and I have set all my other domains and projects on a back burner, just so that I can give it all to my new site.

PUSH

I want to keep evolving, learning, improving, making it better and better, and push it all the way up the SERP´s

SERVE

Instead of writing a gazillion articles on blue ferret widgets and purple lined sport socks, I want my site to be of purpose to my visitors. I want to build my site into the one place to turn to on the Internet, to locate information on my topic. I want to help my visitors with their problem and make them happier and healther with the information and services that I provide.

IDEAS

I looked around in my niche and saw that eventhough competition was huge and the niche is overfloaded, it is overfloaded with mediocre websites of webmasters who clearly are just after their own gain. I want to uplift my website and be atleast a 100 times better than all those websites.

PERSIST

If we talk about persistence, let me tell you that after having started at least 100 websites, I think I can tell you that I know first hand what it is to persist. Even after many flops, after many failures, I am still here. I am still here, building websites and working on my internet business to grow it. Many times have I had to choose between buying food or buying fuel for my car, just because I could not do both. Many nights have I sat up working until I would just fall asleep behind the computer. I have had to write for others at painly low fees, just in an attempt to be able to continue working online and finding the right path that would work for me.

I see many people complaining about the fact that it is so hard to earn money online. Well guess what, spending a few hours writing is not going to make you rich. Setting up a few sites just like that, won´t cut it either. You gotta work work work work and then work some more. You gotta write, publish, try, start over and continue writing and publishing untill some day, you finally get some traction and you can work from that point up, on improving your results.

You gotta persist and know that giving up is not an option.

And then, even when you get to that level where you can say, Hey look what I´ve done, I am hitting it big, you have got to keep doing these 8 keys to success, otherwise you might find you´re slipping down again someday!

So let´s here it in the comments below… do you really have it in you to make a successful website?
