Learn to Squidoo With This Free Squidoo Guide
Today´s post will only be a short one, but I really didn´t want to pass up on the opportunity to get you a Free Squidoo Guide, because the more I learn and get to work with Squidoo, the more I am starting to love it!
If you have gotten to read my post on Socializing and Blog Commenting you already know that I am not too fond of using social sites as a means to do promotion for my websites and you might wonder why I like to Squidoo seeing that I am so against spending my time socializing.
True, that is a valid argument, after all, you can do quite a bit of socializing on Squidoo itself and get in touch with a huge amount of other lensmasters by adding favorites and commenting on their lenses, but for me that is not the main goal when building lenses.
My main goal is to provide good quality information and learn to build nice lenses that in turn will provide me with income and no matter how high you jump or how hard you scream, I keep believing that the most profitable traffic is the traffic that comes from search engines, in other words, people that are looking for an answer to their problem and are willing to pay once they can actually get that answer.
In my last post, Build a Business Online and Start Earning Money, I already outlined just what I am working on right now so I won´t get into any details on that anymore, but I will be sharing my earnings on that in the (hopefully near) future once my One Week Marketing projects are really starting to hit it big.
Anyways, in order to improve my lens building abilities I have found a Free Squidoo Guide that helped me create those first few lenses and made it so much easier to get around “Squidoo Space”, that I thought it would be a good idea to share this Free Squidoo Guide with you.
You can download this guide for free and even if you are not planning on building lenses using the One Week Marketing Plan, it is still a very useful guide to find your way around Squidoo and start building lenses to get your websites some extra push forward!

I have been seriously thinking about squidoo but haven’t been able to get past the first phase. BTW, I couldn’t get to the guide, is the link broken?

Hi Jeet, welcome to my blog and thanks for the heads up
the link is now working again, so you can download the free guide without a problem and I am sure it will actually help you to get way past that “first phase”
good luck to you and please let me know how it is working out for you!

Hmm. the link is working now. But I am not fond of giving my email address on such pages
I gladly give my email address to bloggers who are writing good content but I simply hate this kind of landing pages.

Hi Jeet,
I understand your concern of giving out your email, but seeing that I am actually working with this program and Squidoo I know it is worth it, besides, you can always unsubscribe afterwards, although you´d miss out on some really good information that will help you build lenses faster and better, but of course, that is up to you!

@Jeet,
??? Is that your second day online ???
Most of the internet is based on the “give email — receive goodie” model.
Unless it’s a “give money — receive goodie”, but I guess you might be not too fond of that as well

@Alex re: ” Unless it’s a “give money — receive goodie” ”
I think even that model typically relies on providing an email. Give Money and Email -> Get Goodie/Product/Service

@Tanler,
Yea, that’s right…
Maybe if I think of a way to take people’s money without having their email I’ll get more sales this month.. hehe

@ Alex
LOL don´t be mean to my visitors
Reality is the reality, give some get some and me, well I am really not bothered to give some in return for getting something really helpful.
Although gotta say though, lately a lot of what we are getting in return for giving out our email, is really not up to scratch and will actually cost us not just our email, but also our time…
Having said that, the Free Squidoo Guide is of tremendous value in return for giving our email, or at least that is my opinion already having the guide in my possession LOL, especially if somebody is really wanting to start working with squidoo

hey Tanler
I agree with you there, but then, if I have bought a product it is nice to be able to get free updates and warnings regarding that same product in the future as well, especially if you are working with that product.
For example, in this particular case I bought the One Week Marketing Plan about 6 weeks ago and in that period have also received 2 extra bonuses, the research guide and the squidoo guide and both have proven to be a really good addition and have helped me save time and make things clearer so that I can work more focused. Plus, if the author decides to improve the OWM in the future, I will get the new version for free, so in this case I think it was really worth giving out my email.
I do know though of a lot of other product creators that will try and make you upgrade and buy even more with every email they send out to you after already having bought one of their products, without really giving back anything anymore… Feels like you are instantly turned into their milkcow as soon as you gave out your email initially and those are the type of mailing lists that I have been unsubscribing from lately, not wanting to get sucked in and waste any of my time anymore…

ahhm, sorry about that. didn’t mean to harass your readers.
Giving your email can be ok if you know what you’re doing. First of all, you can always unsubscribe since every serious marketer today is can-spam compliant.
If not, you will be able to blacklist that marketer.
And, there are other options you want something but don’t want to give YOUR email, although I’m against that.

I’ve had mixed results with Squidoo. I prefer to think of it as an article website. I know people have had great luck with their lenses. But for me, I just get a trickle of traffic. It’s a good thing to have in your online marketing mix.

@Nolan, welcome to my blog
I am starting to see some pretty good improvements but that has only started after actually following the steps in the OWM, before that I had been making lenses with some mediocre results to be honest, but now I am becoming a little bit addicted LOL

@Alex LOL yeah, that was your first official warning ROFL
