He was the guy who asked Gordon to come in as a last desperate chance of saving his ass. I don´t think it was just arrogance... it was the fear speaking, paralyzing fear, fear of losing it all, fear of having to admit all sorts of things, fear of having to face up. The meals their art. Telling a chef his food sucks is like telling a blogger their blog sucks or telling a painter his paintings suck. There is a certain arrogance that goes with being an artist. The art an artist creates is personal and the artist has a intimate connection to his/her creations. I can understand the initial reactions of saying that some one critiquing their art has no f***ing clue what they are talking about. That's the artist talking. Artists are seldom rational when it comes to their creations. Gordon Ramsay has been doing this for so long that I can not deny he is an expert and knows exactly what he is talking about.
